My name's Joe. I'm a Hofstra University graduate currently working at a publishing company in New York City as an Art Director. In school, I majored in journalism and earned minors in marketing and graphic design. I have always been interested in a variety of subjects, so I chose a few different fields of study that I believed complimented each other really well.

The skills that I have attained throughout my life so far have allowed me to tackle both professional and personal projects, and they've helped satisfy my desire for creativity in multiple forms. Studying journalism has helped improve my storytelling abilities, while my marketing courses have helped me better understand consumers and the marketing process. As a graphic design minor, I have gained valuable insight and experience from professors that have helped sharpen my skills. I'm knowledgable in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Premiere - all programs I have taught myself. I know a lot about these applications, but I am constantly learning and progressing.

When I'm not in the office, I like to take photos, and shoot video. Capturing life's moments is so important to me, and I want to do more of it in the future. I do digital illustrations and paintings for myself and assist friends with their personal projects, like short films and album cover designs. I've even done some freelance logo work and app design.

One of my biggest passions in life is the ability to create. Although I graduated with honors and a degree in journalism, I have become increasingly interesting in film. In the near future, I would love to be given the opportunity to experience what it's like to work on a film on any scale.

Computers are the lifeline of business, and the key to nearly all of the work I do. Succeeding without them at this point is just not feasible. Computers are my outlet for creative release, but that doesn't mean I want to be chained to them. My hope is that I find a career that allows me to enjoy new experiences each and every day - both inside and outside of the office.
